Putting the bow on an undefeated season with a 5-0 victory in the Division 2 final, Masconomet claims the top spot in the year-end Globe poll. The scoring duo of Maggie Blosser and Amanda Schneider overwhelmed teams as the Chieftains outscored foes by a staggering 101-6 margin. In its first season under coach Dave Wainwright, No. 2 Wellesley hoisted the Division 1 trophy. Brookline hit its stride, narrowly falling to Wellesley in overtime of the Division 1 semifinals. The Bay State Conference flexed its muscles, holding down five of the eight spots in the D1 quarterfinals and three of the four teams in the semifinals. Newton North and Holliston enter the poll for the first time.
