Eastern Mass. girls’ volleyball: Players of the Week for Sept. 24-30

Here are the notable performances this past week from high school girls’ volleyball players competing in Eastern Mass. conferences/leagues.

Sadie Chadwick, Hanover — Amassing 105 assists, 13 kills, and 4 aces, the senior directed a trio of 3-2 victories over Quincy, Cohasset, and Marshfield.

Elodie Cook, Fairhaven — The junior dug up 21 attacks for the Blue Devils, outlasting West Bridgewater for a five-set South Coast win.

Emerson Delleo, Franklin — With 15 digs, 10 kills, and 2 aces, the junior outside was stellar on first and third touch for the Panthers in a nonleague sweep of previously undefeated Winchester.

Isla Hummer, Westford — In a five-set Dual County League triumph over Acton-Boxborough, the senior posted an astonishing 12 blocks, along with seven kills and five aces.

Noga Naveh, Brookline — An absolute rock in the back row, the senior posted six aces as she nearly outscored Bay State Conference rival Natick with just her service points alone in the second and third sets. She added 10 digs in the sweep.

Kyra Ward, Chelmsford — The senior recorded a monster 32 kills, 18 digs, and 7 aces as the Lions outpaced Andover for a five-set win in Merrimack Valley Conference play. She followed up with 16 kills, 10 digs, and 3 aces in a sweep of Methuen.
