Field hockey streaks took a hit Saturday.

With six of the top 11 teams in the Globe Top 20 in action, plus five-time defending champion Uxbridge, a pair of lengthy streaks saw their demise.

No. 20 Canton visited No. 1 Walpole and ended the Porkers’ 19-game unbeaten streak, rallying from down a goal to win 2-1.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Franklin hosted Uxbridge and played to a 2-2 draw, with Ella Marzullo scoring twice to halt the Spartans’ 39-game winning streak.

No. 3 Sandwich, No. 6 Watertown, No. 8 Andover, and No. 11 Concord-Carlisle all won.

In girls’ soccer, unranked Lexington got a shutout from keeper Imogen Pym to draw with No. 5 Wellesley.

Saturday’s football coverage had us stopping by Tabor’s two-score win over Milton Academy and St. John’s Prep’s 60-point performance in a win over La Salle (R.I.).

1. Milestone

▪ Providence-bound Pingree senior Sara Graves, from Topsfield, celebrated her 100th career field hockey point.

2. Eleven stars of the day

Jaesean Atkins, Bartlett — The junior totaled six touchdowns in a 40-6 win over Worcester North, running for five of them and taking a kickoff back 78 yards to pay dirt.

Ethan Hatch, BB&N — Down 14-0, the sophomore quarterback came alive, firing four touchdown passes and throwing for 102 yards in a 45-35 win over Avon Old Farms.

Keilen McDonald, Westwood — In a 16-14 win over Medway that started Friday and ended Saturday because of a power outage, the senior captain hauled in seven catches for 120 yards and a TD, adding three sacks and a forced fumble that led to a third-quarter safety.

Max Morales, St. John’s (Shrewsbury) — The senior scored twice and assisted once, powering a 4-1 boys’ soccer victory over Marlborough.

Michael Salemi, St. John’s Prep — The sophomore was nearly impossible to bring down, taking nine carries for 80 yards and three touchdowns (28, 15, and 6 yards), while also returning a punt 66 yards to pay dirt and adding a 90-yard kickoff return TD during the Eagles’ 60-35 triumph over La Salle (R.I.).

Ryan Sampson, Quincy — The senior quarterback averaged nearly 20 yards per carry, with 11 totes for 197 yards and four touchdowns, the longest a 73-yard scamper, to beat previously undefeated New Bedford, 34-8.

Jack Spear and Colt Downey, Pingree — The seniors were unstoppable through the air, with Spear tossing seven touchdowns and Downey on the receiving end of three of them during an eight-catch 186-yard performance to beat Capital Harbor Prep, 55-6.

Elisabeth Stutzman, Sandwich — The senior spearheaded an 8-0 field hockey win over Nauset with four goals.

Mia Zimmerman, Monomoy — The sophomore was productive, netting three goals and two assists in a 10-1 field hockey win over Swampscott.

Owen Essam, Franklin — The senior was a two-way force, rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns while also snagging an interception in the Panthers’ 43-6 romp over Stoughton.

3. Commitment central

▪ Xaverian senior Connor Doyle, a 6-foot-1-inch righthanded pitcher and third baseman from Milton, has commited to play baseball at Catholic University.

▪ Reading senior Max King will run Division 1 cross-country at Merrimack.

▪ Austin Prep senior Izzy Wane, a 6-5 guard from Lowell, posted that he will play men’s basketball at Williams.

After three seasons at the helm, Greater Lawrence boys’ basketball coach Stevie Martinez has stepped down.

Martinez led the Reggies to an 18-8 record and a trip to the Division 3 semifinals last year, turning around a program that went 6-14 the year before he arrived and going 44-28 over three seasons.

“I would like to thank the school for giving me my first head coaching opportunity,” Martinez wrote on social media. “Thank you to the STUDENT BODY, you guys created an environment filled with energy, enthusiasm, and love. To my players, I’ll always be your coach.”

5. Here and there

▪ Governor’s Academy freshman Nola Maney, who played one season at Lynnfield, was the lone Massachusetts selection for the U-16 junior women’s field hockey national team selection camp, set to take place Dec. 4-6 at Davidson College in North Carolina, but several other locals will take part in the U-18 and U-21 camps.

The U-18 camp, also Dec. 4-6 at Davidson, will feature Watertown junior Regan Driscoll, Milton Academy senior Eden O’Rourke (from Dedham), Middlesex junior Tessa Rusconi (from Concord), Lawrence Academy senior Callan Stewart (from Wayland), Acton-Boxborough senior Charlotte DeSchepper, and Uxbridge’s Addie Blood, Brooklyn Kaferlein, and Ava Rosborough.

Invited to the U-21 selection camp are Virginia sophomore Mary Adams (Brooks Schools/Andover), Northwestern sophomore Lindsey Brown (Algonquin), Lafeyette freshman Katie Jackivicz (Tabor/Mattapoisett), and Middlesex senior Avery Swenson (Concord).

▪ The Attleboro Hall of Fame ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Attleboro Elks honoring three inductees: Nick Evans (Class of ‘19), Jason Weir (’20), and Michael Strachan Jr. (’21).

Tickets are $60 and available at attleboroareafootballhof.com/hof/
